About R. Aaron Falk
My background
I am now on my fourth career reincarnation.
The first was academic physics, receiving a Ph.D. from the University of Washington and a post doctoral stint at the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics.
The second incarnation was in the Defense and Space industry, mostly at the Boeing Company.
Starting my own business, OptoMetrix, Inc., for development and manufacture of test instruments for the semiconductor industry became the third incarnation.
I am now semi-retired as a writer and dabble in computer generated art.

The Pivot Point
In 2017 I discovered that Captain James Davis was my 9th great-grandfather. His adventures as an early English colonist are the stuff of legends. And yet, few Americans even know about the 1607 attempt to start a colony in Maine.
I wanted more people to know about this history, not as a dry academic tome, but to bring it to life as a work of fiction. My journey as a writer started.
